Striker William Opoku Mensah has insisted he wants to stay at Asante Kotoko and win more trophies with the Reds.
The former Karela United attacker joined Kotoko on a one-year renewable deal after returning to Ghana following a failed stint in the United States with Swope Park Rangers.
The virtuoso forward aside football has a degree in Health, and has taught in many senior high schools before his move to the USA. He stated clearly the he has not given up on teaching but wants to focus on Kotoko for now and win continental laurels for the club.
“I have not closed my doors to the teaching profession,” reveals Opoku Mensah who has three league goals for the club this season. “I have plans to return to the classroom. I cannot tell exactly when but it would happen before I retire from football,” He revealed to Kotoko Express App.
“I enjoy teaching, which is why I was able to combine it with football while at Karela. But my focus now is on Kotoko. I want to win either the Champions League or the Confederation Cup with the club.”
